How it does good

Beef jerky may have a solid place in the snack world, but the beef industry leaves behind a substantial carbon footprint. Michael Pan, founder of Pan's Mushroom Jerky, came across a better, more sustainable beef alternative when visiting family in Borneo, Malaysia: Shiitake mushrooms. His family recipe for mushroom jerky keeps the texture and taste profile of a standard beef jerky, but without using any meat at all. The mushroom jerky itself contains vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants while producing fewer carbon emissions.

LOVE IT

I am not a mushroom lover, in fact I tend to eat around them, however I did love this jerky. to me, it's not a mushroom-y taste, it takes on the flavor of the seasonings. I do not like eating meat; sometimes I get a craving, and I am glad I can whip this out as a snack. I like the suggestion above, adding to noodles or soup, I will try that. the pieces can be a chew but that is part of the draw, right? I plan on trying all the flavors, DON'T STOP MAKING THIS, PLEASE!

it is good for a healthy mushroom jerky

i love this and at the same time don't. I miss beef jerky, but i have a weird allergy to beef. i have tried turkey jerky, but most of the ones i have tried aren't really that good or give me the sense of feeling of eating beef jerky. also a lot of the turkey jerky is spicy. anyway, i like this cause the texture is way more similar to beef jerky. but i also didn't like this cause this flavor is so plain, like just eating shiitake mushrooms. i am purchasing other flavors to try and hoping the zesty thai flavor isn't too spicy for me. I also hope the salt and pepper one is everything i am hoping it to be. oh, that guys comment about hating this and throwing it away, but giving 5 stars is hilarious and confusing. is it satire, is he serious, but gave 5 stars for the company? is the trash his stomach and he ate it all in one sitting? who knows. i know i ate quite a few in one sitting. then had to remind myself it's a snack, not dinner.

Really nice snack to eat. Has a unique toughness to it's chewing, firm. It is not over smoked or spiced up very natural.

Mushroom jerky

It was awful. Only tried 2 and noway I was going to eat them. Threw the bag in the trash.
