Sustainable practices in farming can and should be a part of the business from day one. Since 1989, Crofter's has been making organic fruit spreads using fair trade ingredients. Each year, their products undergo strict organic audits, including herbicide and pesticide tests at their in-house lab. To sweeten their jams, they work with fair-trade certified cane sugar farms that use regenerative farming techniques. This means the sugar is responsibly grown and harvested so that the surrounding land and water are kept clean and free from pollutants.

When Dickinson’s jams and preserves disappeared from the grocery stores shelves a couple of years ago,, I started searching online for a replacement. Based on positive reviews, I decided to try Crofter’s strawberry organic spread and was not disappointed. The flavor is incredible, it’s easy to spread and no seeds or chunks of fruit, which is a bonus for me; plus it’s available at my local supermarkets at a reasonable price. I look forward to trying some of the other fruit flavors soon.
