Nobody likes potty talk. But if you care about the planet: it's time we had a conversation about toilet paper. Did you know that over 27,000 trees are chopped down each day to make conventional TP? And don't get us started about the scary chemical processing. We knew there had to be a better way, so we were thrilled to find Plant Paper. They're a sustainable toilet paper alternative made from 100% organic, chemical-free bamboo. Right now, you probably have two main concerns: 1. Does it feel like sandpaper? and 2. Will it clog? The short answer is: no way! Each square is soft to the touch and dissolves just like the regular stuff.

How it does good

More than 27,000 trees are flushed down the toilet every day. Yep, it takes that many trees to create a day's worth of toilet paper. PlantPaper saw these wasteful practices and decided to do something about it. They invented a new way to get clean and it doesn't require any trees. The bamboo used for their TP is taken from native forests overflowing with plants. It's naturally organic, pesticide-free, and bleach-free, and it takes far less water to produce than conventional toilet paper. That means that every time you use the restroom, you're not just helping our planet, you're keeping harsh chemicals away from your body.

PlantPaper

The founders of PlantPaper—Deeva Green, Lee Reitelman, and Scott Barry—created their product as a response to an industry and an hygienic practice in dire need of an update. They believe ecology is intimate, so they developed a tree-free, toxin-free toilet paper that's both safer for our bodies and the environment.
