Why we love it

Nobody likes potty talk. But if you care about the planet: it's time we had a conversation about toilet paper. Did you know that over 27,000 trees are chopped down each day to make conventional TP? And don't get us started about the scary chemical processing. We knew there had to be a better way, so we were thrilled to find Plant Paper. They're a sustainable toilet paper alternative made from 100% organic, chemical-free bamboo. Right now, you probably have two main concerns: 1. Does it feel like sandpaper? and 2. Will it clog? The short answer is: no way! Each square is soft to the touch and dissolves just like the regular stuff.

How it does good

Turning one of the world’s most wasteful industries on its tail

More than 27,000 trees are flushed down the toilet every day. Yep, it takes that many trees to create a day’s worth of toilet paper. PlantPaper saw these wasteful practices and decided to do something about it. They invented a new way to get clean and it doesn’t require any trees. The bamboo used for their TP is taken from native forests overflowing with plants. It’s naturally organic, pesticide-free, and bleach-free, and it takes far less water to produce than conventional toilet paper. That means that every time you use the restroom, you’re not just helping our planet, you’re keeping harsh chemicals away from your body.

  • recyclable packaging

PlantPaper is proud to be plastic-free. They've completely eliminated plastic from their packaging, warehouse, and transportation.
  • low carbon footprint

To help reduce their carbon emissions, PlantPaper partnered with a third-party auditor who is assessing their manufacturing processes.
  • responsible sourcing

Plant Paper uses bamboo sourced from native forests. This helps reduce the numbers of trees cut down every day to make toilet paper.

  • Forest Stewardship Council Certification

How to use it

Flush. Enough said.

When you're done...

The outer packaging is 100% recycled chipboard and can be recycled in your curbside bin.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

Bamboo paper

I like this product a lot. It is comfortable to use and I’m happy to be helping the environment. I keep the box in the bathroom so that guests who use it can learn about it and ask me about it. I have at least 1 friend who has become a subscriber.

Soft, but small

This is the softest bamboo toilet paper I've used. However, the rolls are a bit small considering the price.

Great Wipe!

Both my husband and I agree - this TP is a great wipe - not only works as well as the best paper TP but we really appreciate that it not only doesn't waste trees (we like trees!) but also does not use - and expose us to - the chemicals used to produce TP.
