Details

It's great that these deliver a tortilla chip texture with the added twist of spicy barbecue flavoring. We know the term "pulp" might not bring to mind a crisp, crunchy chip—but that's exactly what these are. The heat comes from a chili powder, along with a few other tasty seasoning.

Ingredients

Juice Pulp (Celery, Kale)*, Sunflower Oil And/Or Safflower Oil, Cassava Flour, Tapioca Flour*, Okara Flour*, White Vinegar, Chia Seeds, Barbecue Seasoning (Salt, Dehydrated Lucuma Fruit, Tomato Powder, Chipotle Powder, Spice, Dehydrated Onion, Dehydrated Garlic, Flavors) *=Organic Ingredient

Allergens: Contains Soy. Manufactured in a facility that also processes: milk, soy, tree nuts (coconut)

How to Use

Savor the chips, and tell all your friends about them.

How it does good

A lot of food ends up in landfills each year. It's estimated at about 40% of everything we grow lands there. Fortunately, Pulp Pantry took a look at the situation and stepped up to make a change. That change starts with fresh vegetable juice pulp. The process not only cuts back on food wase, but it also keeps about 38 gallons of water from going to waste (per pound of pulp, that is). The end result adds up to a satisfying chip that adds nutrients to your diet while saving cropland.

Pulp Pantry

Pulp Pantry founder Kaitlin Mogentale was inspired to fight the 40% of food that goes to waste in the U.S., especially the waste of fruits and veggies (the healthiest of foods). So, she created Pulp Pantry. Their better-for-people, better-for-the-planet snacks are made from overlooked vegetable byproducts like organic juice pulp.
