We swore there was nothing better than sweet, earthy balsamic vinegar. Then we found this version, blended with syrupy, honey-flavored figs. Now, we’re eating our words. And this vinegar, of course.

Sustainable goodness

Enzo's olive oils are 100% homegrown and homemade, and they're using responsible irrigation practices to protect their farmland.

Why we love it

Some biblical scholars think it wasn’t an apple Eve picked, but a fig. There’s nothing forbidden about this fig-flavored balsamic vinegar, but it’s so decadent, you’ll swear you're breaking some kind of law. Fresh and sweet with a hint of berry, figs add the honey taste to this dense, tart vinegar. Who needs paradise when it's bottled right here?

How it does good

Shaking up olive oil production for the better

Though olive oil has been around for millennia, modern oil production isn't always great for the environment. Soil erosion, water scarcity, and the use of pesticides are just a few problems, not to mention the fact that most olive oil comes from Europe, which means it has to be transported elsewhere. Enter Enzo Olive Oil Company. For four generations, the Ricchiuti family has been farming in the San Joaquin Valley, which boasts an optimal climate for plants with Mediterranean origins. Enzo grows 100% of their olives and crafts all of their oils onsite. This limits the effects of transportation and allows them to guarantee environmental integrity. They avoid chemicals, use drip irrigation to cut down on water usage, and recycle water waste to help with soil erosion and dust.

  • responsible sourcing

Enzo works with AgMonitor to monitor and improve its water and energy usage, and with WiseConn to enhance its irrigation procedures. They produce all their olive oil in-house, sourcing balsamic vinegar and pesto via small businesses. All of their bi-produce is reused.
  • supporting key causes

Enzo is dedicated to helping its community, with initiatives supporting education, health care, and legislation of the olive oil industry.
  • recyclable packaging

Their glass jars and bottles are 100% curbside recyclable.
  • Certified Non-GMO

How to use it

Tired of traditional glazes? Mix this vinegar with fig preserves for a fresh, fruity complement to any meal.

When you're done...

The glass bottle is curbside recyclable. The lid can be recycled curbside, as well, but sorted into a can of the same metal type (you can use a magnet to determine). The plastic pour spout is recyclable through TerraCycle by following our special instructions.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

Most delicious balsamic vinegar ever!

I just made a cooked kale salad with tomato and Persian cucumber, and I added a drizzle of the fig balsamic with a drizzle of olive oil. Fresh garlic and cracked pepper with lemon zest. This vinegar was so delicious and perfect with all the other flavors. I'm on the moon with happiness! I can see using this with fruit, on ice cream, and I will most surely enjoy the entire bottle while exploring all the taste combinations I can imagine. Thank you for making this product!
