Maya Kaimal

Raised on her father's delicious South Indian food, Maya Kaimal noticed the lack of quality Indian products in the grocery stores, so in 2003, she left her publishing job and launched a food business with her husband, out of their Brooklyn apartment. Using her collection of family recipes, she worked to create convenient Indian food that tastes just as good as the homemade version. After Maya's original refrigerated sauces were well received in NYC specialty stores, her line evolved to include shelf stable simmer sauces, dals, chanas, rice and condiments.
