Amy's

Sometimes, warm vegetarian chili on a blustery day is just what the doctor ordered. You won't believe this bowl of organic, slow-simmered goodness came from a can.

Sustainable goodness

Amy’s has been organic and non-GMO since before it was “cool." They source ingredients and create meals that they would serve to their family—so you know you trust their food for yours.

Why we love it

We've made a few pots of chili in our day, but all those pots seemed lackluster once we tried Amy's. It tastes like it was made from scratch by someone's chili-contest-winning grandma. And we don't even miss the meat. So, yeah, we basically don't cook anymore. We just pop open a can of Amy's. It's packed with nutritious, fiber-rich ingredients like beans, tomatoes, onion, and of course: those crave-worthy spices. The best part? You're less than five minutes from a filling meal.

How it does good

The gold standard in organic food since 1987

Amy’s Kitchen is one of the first companies to make organic, healthy food popular and accessible. They use sustainably-harvested, organic, and non-GMO ingredients for their ready-made meals, soups, and sauces. Why? Because it’s not only better for people, it’s far kinder to our planet. Amy’s sources from local California farms whenever possible to support the community and keep their carbon footprint low. Plus, they were one of the first to use BPA-free, recyclable aluminum cans for their products. These “common” practices are only common because of Amy’s. In fact, the USDA (and others) looked to Amy’s when they were setting organic and environmental standards.

  • recyclable packaging

One of the first companies to use recyclable cans without BPA lining, you might say Amy’s is the gold standard in sustainable packaging.
  • responsible sourcing

The ingredients in Amy’s products are sourced from local organic farms when possible. Their meals are always vegetarian because farming meat has major environmental consequences.
  • Certified B Corp
  • BPA Free

How to use it

Snow day or just a Monday: open a can of this chili and enjoy a nutritious, delicious meal.

When you're done...

Amy's soup cans and sauce jars can be rinsed and placed in your curbside recycling bin.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

Great Vegetarian chili

Use this as a base for my own. Also, very similar to Trader Joe’s Vegetarian which they no longer make. This chili is not available in many markets. Glad I found it here!
