How it does good
Traditionally, larger honey companies work with food brokers to secure a stable (and cheap) supply chain of honey. This means that beekeepers don't have a lot of control over the price they get, or the quality of the final product. Apis Mercantile does things differently by working directly with beekeepers, which increases the money that goes to the beekeepers, and also ensures that the honey meets Apis's high standards. They partner with small apiaries all over the world to source the best and most interesting honey varietals out there.
Apis Mercantile
Apis Mercantile's mission is to introduce people to the incredible spectrum of flavors that can be found in the honey world, with a commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing practices. Founded by Liam Becker and John Berdux, they established their first apiary in their backyard, and began giving honey away to friends and family. The bees became a constant in their lives, and they were fascinated by the incredible honey they produced. Now, they partner directly with beekeepers and small apiaries worldwide to offer delicious, artisanal honey.
