Why we love it

The floral and earthy flavors of this Earl Grey tea come through with ease. Which is a good thing, because we like when our tea drinking is easy. Although a lot of people sip their Earl Grey to start the day, we like ours when we've finished dinner, too. A good tea like this brings a lot to the table, too much to confine to one time of day. So sip to your heart's content any time you'd like.

How it does good

A closer connection between people and farmers

The tea, cocoa, and coffee farming industries are at the highest risk for worker exploitation and contributing to deforestation. For standard brands, these supply chains are notoriously lacking in transparency. That’s why Equal Exchange created a fair trade model that cuts out the middleman. Instead, they focus on direct, transparent trade with farmers and cooperatives. They work in collaboration with Root Capital to help build farmer cooperative training programs. A USAID partner, Equal Exchange is heavily engaged in farmer cooperative capacity development, bringing technical assistance to in-country growers to help increase productivity and reliability to ensure success in a global market.

  • supporting key causes

  • recyclable packaging

How to use it

You can make yourself a cup of tea, sure. But why not try adding the flavors you love to a homemade cookie.

When you're done...

The box is recyclable in your curbside bin. The teabag is home compostable. And any wrappers can be recycled through TerraCycle by following our special instructions.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

About the Brand

Equal Exchange

Equal Exchange

The three founders of Equal Exchange created this company with a shared vision in mind: fairness to farmers, and a closer connection between the farmers and consumers. There is so much care and expertise from the farmers that go into these products, and in most supply chains, this is overlooked. People who buy these fair trade products are taking a stance and creating a difference for the farmers, economy, and the planet.
