Preserving the freshness of their quality loaves

About a third of all food produced in the world is wasted, and over 20 pounds of food per person is wasted monthly in the US alone. When the Essential Baking Company realized that fresh bread that isn't sold in the store at the end of the day is thrown away, they were determined to reduce waste. They came up with the Essential FreshSeal™, extending the bread's shelf-life and allowing people to enjoy their delicious loaves for longer. It's all part of their work to make nourishing foods in a positive way, with a small environmental footprint.

    The Essential Baking Company has made it their mission to support local farmers. They buy their organic flour from Fairhaven Mill in Sakgit Valley and Rodger's Flour, a small group of millers in Canada. Essential Baking Company also use artisan techniques like hand-forming loaves of bread and using all-natural starters, keeping the ingredients list simple and clean.
