Keeping people at the center of everything
A lot of companies say they're committed to change, but Grandy Organics goes the extra mile. They're raising the bar with Fair Trade Ingredient Certification on all of their Coconola products. That means safer working conditions and additional income for farmers. The certification requires a bar on child labor, paid maternity leave, and excellent care for the environment. They're also at the forefront of revising business practices to combat racial injustice. They're investing in organized community work efforts, facilitating healthy conversation in the workplace, and networking with organizations that support the Black community.
They offset their energy use with onsite solar power and renewable energy credits. Their 288 solar panels generate 95,000 kWh of clean energy annually to power ovens, lights, computers, and cooling systems.

These granola mavens do all they can to improve wildlife habitats, soil and plant health, and biodiversity by sourcing their ingredients from organic farms. All of their granolas and trail mixes consist of USDA certified organic foods.

Grandy Organics has a rotational donation platform in where they donate 20% of the revenue from a collection of their products to organizations selected by their staff. They've also supported environmental organizations, trail groups, and education outreach since their founding, and most recently donated $2,000 to Black Lives Matter.

Grandy Organics
The team behind Grandy Organics know that the purest pleasures are found off the beaten path. Nearly forty years ago, a group of friends with a dream to start a business for good sat around a Maine campfire and came upon the "grandiose" mission to start making granola. Today, Grandy Organics has stayed true to its roots while growing its granola business to a national level. Their products are still made in small batches in Maine, and they still believe that business is more about having a positive impact than making money.

I will only eat lobsters from Maine, so I thought I'd give this granola brand a shot. Shopping on Hive is a breeze, and it's nice to get away from the Whole Foods / Amazon behemoth. So far, I've tried two flavors, which arrived promptly and substainingly packaged and are delicious. I will definitely get some more, as well as explore other Hive offerings! George H.

I love this granola, and just ordered more from the maker directly. Had I not found this, I would have had to go without, or make my own. The supermarket brands have too much sugar or things I don’t digest well. This product is simple, with ingredients I understand and that I can digest.
