How it does good
Cookies made the right way, not the easy way
Cookies are made with a few main ingredients: flour, sugar, butter, and eggs. But how these ingredients are farmed and manufactured isn’t always kind to people, animals, or the planet. Because of this, Grey Ghost Bakery chooses to source organic, fair trade ingredients and—whenever possible—ingredients that are made in the U.S. They also keep the planet in mind when choosing their packaging (and how they dispose of their packaging). All of the material for their cookie boxes is sourced in the U.S. and they recycle as much of their production waste as possible. This helps them lower their carbon footprint and helps keep trash out of landfills.
-
responsible sourcing
While it would be cheaper for Grey Ghost Bakery to purchase their ingredients from conventional farms, they choose to work with fair trade, organic farms instead. They also source their packaging material from U.S. distributors who pay their workers fairly.
How to use it

Break out these cookies with your afternoon latte or when hungry guests stop over.
When you're done...
The chipboard box is recyclable in your curbside bin. The plastic tray and acrylic wrapper should be sent to TerraCycle by following our special instructions.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.
