Why do molasses cookies taste just like going to grandma's house? The old-fashioned classic from Grey Ghost Bakery gets a spicy kick that makes it similar to a ginger snap and a smooth molasses finish. We love to share these at tea time or when we're hosting a party, but you can eat them for no special reason at all.

Grey Ghost Bakery sources their ingredients from fair trade, organic farms that use sustainable and regenerative farming techniques.

How it does good

Cookies made the right way, not the easy way

Cookies are made with a few main ingredients: flour, sugar, butter, and eggs. But how these ingredients are farmed and manufactured isn’t always kind to people, animals, or the planet. Because of this, Grey Ghost Bakery chooses to source organic, fair trade ingredients and—whenever possible—ingredients that are made in the U.S. They also keep the planet in mind when choosing their packaging (and how they dispose of their packaging). All of the material for their cookie boxes is sourced in the U.S. and they recycle as much of their production waste as possible. This helps them lower their carbon footprint and helps keep trash out of landfills.

I only got one

By the time I finished savoring one, with small nibbles interspersed with sips of tea, my partner had finished off the package :( I’m buying two this time. It’s a spice that builds, your mouth tingling warm and gingery, and the chew is perfect. I was worried they’d be crunchy, and they are harder than “traditional”, but the classic chew is still there. 12/10

Nice spice!

Delicious. Give me these cookies, a cup of coffee, and a good movie and I will be happy.

I got the lemon sugar cookies and the molasses spice cookies and they both are excellent. The lemon cookies have a slight crunch to them with a nice tartness to them and the molasses spice cookies are nice and soft, the way I like them. Both are excellent!

My husband's favorite. I have to order at least one box every time.
