King Arthur

A comfort food classic, this lightly sweet cornbread is perfection in a mix. With a slight crunch on top and a warm, crumbly interior, it's rich, robust, and lick-your-lips good. It’s got it all. Except gluten.

Sustainable goodness

King Arthur Baking Company was the first American flour seller, and they're committed to transparency, fair wages, and equality for all.

Why we love it

Some states make it sour, some make it sweet, but we've yet to find anyone who doesn’t adore some delectably golden-brown, crusty and crumbling cornbread (or corn muffins). Soft and buttery, with a traditional cakey texture and barely sugary taste sure to satisfy, this easy-to-make, gluten-free mix is truly unbeatable for a homemade classic.

How it does good

American products, doing a world of good

Founded in 1790, King Arthur Baking Company is quite literally an American institution. Their history of high-quality, reliable products stretches from the first president to the first chocolate chip cookie and beyond. But their eyes are firmly on the future. They've been a B Corp since 2007, and they believe it’s their responsibility to both do and encourage good. They’re dedicated to avoiding GMOs and harmful pesticides in their products. Plus, they donate 1% of their annual sales to environmental organizations. Their company is 100% employee-owned, and they’re working constantly to promote outreach with 40 hours of paid volunteer time, and diverse hiring practices. They’ve also committed $200,000 to organizations working toward justice, equality, and food education along with researching bakeries and farms that are owned and run primarily by BIPOC individuals.

  • supporting key causes

For almost 3 decades, King Arthur has been providing students with baking classes and supplies, encouraging them to share or donate what they make in their communities through Bake for Good. On top of their classrooms and cafes, which give extra baked goods to food banks, they donate over a million meals a year to combat food insecurity in the U.S.
  • responsible sourcing

King Arthur has been employee-owned for over 20 years. All of their suppliers are U.S.-based and held to strict social and environmental standards, ensuring transparency for customers, fair pay for workers, and sustainable farming for the planet.
  • low carbon footprint

They offer reimbursements for employee carpooling and solar-powered vehicle charging to encourage eco-friendly commutes. As a result, they cut out 72,000 miles every year, putting a serious dent in transporation-related emissions.

Tastes Great

I was a little hesitant at first to try this cornbread, but man it was so delicious! Has just a small amount of sweetness to it which I love. This is my new go to for cornbread.
