They also partner with Recycle Utah to reduce environmental impact from landfill waste to energy usage to staff carbon footprints. By 2023, they will publish their “green goals,” a list of seven pledges they are making to our earth.

About the Brand
Kodiak began in 1982 when Penny Clark sent her 8-year-old son Joel into the neighborhood with a red wagon filled with paper bags of her father’s heirloom flapjack mix. He returned with an empty wagon and lifelong plans. Decades later, Joel launched booming pancake brand Kodiak Cakes. Though they've grown tremendously, they remain family-owned and still make each product as if they were crafting a homemade recipe to share with friends and neighbors.
