Organic Jade Pearl Rice Ramen — Pack of 4 Ramen Cakes
Add to My ListWe can't go back to regular ramen anymore. This mystical, jade pearl rice ramen is a unique green color that 1) looks pretty and 2) is infused with bamboo extract and has a yummy vanilla taste. And it's packed with nutritional value. Okay, we could probably go on and on about this ramen, but you need to just try it for yourself.

How it does good
Using smart agricultural practices to save water
Rice production uses around one-third of the planet's annual renewable fresh water, but Lotus Foods supports More Crop Per Drop™—a smart agricultural practice that protects and restores natural resources such as fresh water, improves incomes and quality of life for farmers, especially women, and reduces climate impact. These practices also cut in half the time that women have to spend transplanting and weeding, lowering their risk for health issues.
Lotus Foods sources organic and Fair Trade rice from India, China, and Southeast Asia using smart agricultural practices that use a lot less water than other farms.
Learn MoreFlooded rice fields emit methane gas, which contributes to global warming. Lotus Foods combats this by reducing their methane emissions by 40% with More Crop Per Drop™. This technique uses half the amount of water to keep fields moist but not continuously flooded.

About the Brand
Lotus Foods
The Lotus Foods founders first fell in love with black rice while traveling in China. The rice was typically called “tribute rice”, or “longevity rice” because it was reserved for Chinese Emperors to ensure their good health and long life. In 1995, the founders started importing black rice, calling it Forbidden Rice® after the Forbidden City, the Chinese Imperial palace. They also work hard to make sure they employ sustainable practices and treat farmers fairly.

Very tasty
Because I can no longer eat ramen from the store without getting sick ( shell fish allergies ) I decided to give this a try. It's pretty tasty and dose not take FOREVER to cook. My only issue is I have to run the noodles through cold water (to prevent sticking) after they are done cooking...so now I have cold noodles...but if that's my ONLY issue I can live with that.

Pretty Good Noodles!
I thought these were noodles with miso packets, which was my bad, but the noodles themselves are pretty good anyways to add to my own broths.

I love this product! The noodles cook very quickly and the flavor options are unlimited. I cook mine in chicken broth and add veggies and sometimes meat or tofu. Love it!
