Brown Rice Thin Stackers - Lightly Salted

Sustainable goodness
Lundberg Family Farms uses 100% renewable energy, and they're changing the game with soil-friendly farming and a zero-waste facility.
Why we love it
We were today years old when we learned that crackers—light, stackable, lovable crackers—were first made by accident. That may have been the case upon their 1801 invention, but there’s nothing accidental about these perfectly puffy, subtly salty grain cakes, made from just two things: brown rice and sea salt. Whether you’re topping or tasting them solo, they’re sure to satisfy.

How it does good
Four generations of earth-conscious farming
Domesticated over 10,000 years ago, rice comes with history. But with history comes convention, and not all convention is good. Traditional post-harvest burning releases pollutants, while unfair labor practices put impoverished rice farmers at risk. Then there are pests and irrigation issues, often resolved with harmful chemicals and water-guzzling practices. Enter Lundberg Family Farms. They’re proud of their unconventional practices, like regenerative crop rotation, conservative irrigation, natural pest management, and support for mostly local farmers. Also, instead of burning their straw, they use it to enhance their soil. Dedicated to improving (not exploiting), Lundberg Family Farms treat their producers and planet like part of the family.

low carbon footprint
For seventeen years (and counting), Lundberg Family Farms has been powered by 100% renewable energy. What they can’t get from California sunshine and wind, they offset with renewable energy credits. And if that wasn't enough, they're also zero waste. -
supporting key causes
In addition to helping the planet, Lundberg Family Farms are helping entrepreneurs in developing countries through a partnership with Whole Planet Foundation, which empowers (mostly female) small business owners and their families via low-interest loans and support. -
responsible sourcing
All of their products are fully traceable, fair trade, and non-GMO, and most of them are grown in California. They’re vertically integrated, so everything from planting to harvesting to packaging happens in-house. What they source comes from small farms, and they’re committed to preventing human rights violations in farming. -
recyclable packaging
All of their packaging is either curbside recyclable or recyclable through TerraCycle, and 31% is made of recycled content. They’re currently working toward even more sustainable options.
How to use it

These crackers were practically made for a sophisticated (but super-easy) topping of tzatziki and cucumber.
When you're done...
The cardboard box is curbside recyclable, and the inner plastic bag is recyclable through TerraCycle by following our special instructions.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

About the Brand
Lundberg
Lundberg
Way back in 1937, Albert Lundberg knew caring for the land was the only sustainable path forward. He committed to farming in partnership with nature, and every generation since has followed in his trailblazing footsteps. Since then, four generations of Lundbergs have cultivated the soil of their rice fields alongside the countless more people who have become family over the years. And every one of them puts everything they have into growing exceptional food, all so your meals are as good as what they serve at their own tables.
