How it does good

Leaving the land better than they found it, for generations

For over 80 years, Lundberg Family Farms has committed themselves to preserving and improving the environment. And that’s evident in how they grow, package, transport, and distribute everything they make. With their network of growers and partners, they’ve pioneered ways that their farming and their food can better their planet. As a vertically integrated rice company, they farm, dry, store, mill, manufacture, market, and distribute their own products. They stand behind every grain, every step of the way.

  • responsible sourcing

Lundberg Family Farms focuses on organic, non-GMO and diverse grains to create a food system that doesn’t drain Earth’s resources.
  • low carbon footprint

Lundberg Family Farms has fueled their manufacturing with 100% renewable solar and wind energy for 17 years running. And they purchase renewable energy credits to offset all grid electricity. They collect, sort, and recycle just about everything—99.7% to be exact—from packaging to scrap metal to uniforms (which are broken down and used as insulation in vehicles).
  • supporting key causes

Lundberg Family Farms is a proud partner of Whole Planet Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities around the globe to alleviate poverty. Committed to protecting and improving our planet for generations to come, they support organizations that support organic farming, water conservation, and environmental stewardship. To name a few: Organic Farming Research Foundation, Northern California Water Association (NCWA), and Climate Collaborative.

About the Brand

Way back in 1937, Albert Lundberg knew caring for the land was the only sustainable path forward. He committed to farming in partnership with nature, and every generation since has followed in his trailblazing footsteps. Since then, four generations of Lundbergs have cultivated the soil of their rice fields alongside the countless more people who have become family over the years. And every one of them puts everything they have into growing exceptional food, all so your meals are as good as what they serve at their own tables.
