Sea Salt Veggie Chips

Sustainable goodness
Mozaics’ chips are made with gluten-free, non-GMO, organic veggies, and they support schools and food banks in the Chicago area.
Why we love it
We love the nooks and crannies of these sea-salted chips, blended from sweet-and-earthy peas and starchy potatoes, misted with rich olive oil and dappled with salt, then popped for a light crunchiness. But don’t take our word for it: you can see splashes of veggie color in every textured bite.

How it does good
Turning organic snacking into a work of art
Chips are one of America’s favorite snacks, and you can find them almost anywhere, from grocery stores to gas stations. But just because they’re easy to grab doesn’t mean they’re easy on the environment. A standard bag of potato chips uses almost 140 gallons of water, and even veggie alternatives can come with the additional baggage of GMOs and harmful agricultural/production practices. Thankfully, there’s Mozaics. These gluten-free crisps are made from certified organic, non-GMO legumes, like peas and black beans, evident in their high-quality (read: definitely not like cardboard) taste and one-of-a-kind chip patterns. Mozaics was careful to cut out the top 8 allergens from their recipes, so their snacks are easy for anyone to enjoy without being tough on the planet.
-
supporting key causes
Mozaics works with Shore Community Services to involve, educate, and hire community members with developmental disabilities, and they're introducing a program to employ veterans. They also support scholarship programs at the Chicago Mosaic School, a first-of-its-kind nonprofit offering education to mosaic artists at all skill levels. -
responsible sourcing
Mozaics’ plant-based chips are made in the USA in a peanut- and tree nut-free facility, using non-GMO, organic veggies. They’re certified through Oregon Tilth, which has strict regulations on crop sources, transportation, and previous land use. -
low carbon footprint
By using certified organic vegetables, they support the limitation of pollution from pesticides, herbicides, and nitrogen fertilizers, which can increase the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Organic farming also reduces soil erosion and droughts, and cuts down on energy use from chemical production.
