On vacation, pregnant and frustrated with her non-dairy creamer options at a Lake Tahoe diner, founder Madeline Haydon decided to make her recipe public. Thanks to Kickstarter, she raised $32,000 to start Nutpods and from there, the brand has made alternative creamers that offer the rich taste and consistency of half-and-half with almonds, coconut cream, and not much else.

The Long Search for no-nonsense, non-dairy options
My first time that I tried nut pod original creamer. Impressive recyclable packaging. I so loved the simplicity and the small number of ingredients at the time I was purchasing the product at safeway. I tried this at home with my medium roast coffee and boy, was I blown away. It doesn't ruin the taste of coffee (and also teas) as it blends well with everything without a funky after taste that dairy milk leaves. Dairy or non-dairy, the creamers are usually over-powering. With coconuts, almonds or cow milk always ruining the drink by leaving a taste of their own. This is what I loved the best about nut pod original. It truly is original. Will try the other products for sure. But for now, nut pod original is my thing. Totally... 5 stars and I'd highly recommend to anyone who love their coffee with the taste of coffee.
