Why we love it

All their dancing, kicking, and spilling can mean wet or chafed skin, but this revolutionary baby powder alternative replaces the risk of breathing in talc with absorbent tapioca starch and arrowroot powder. Mango seed butter adds back moisture and keeps baby ready for magic and mischief, all day long. Because only clean, non-toxic formulas should ever touch those beautiful little rolls.

How it does good

Helping mothers, and Mother Nature, care for their kids

Between infants’ heightened sensitivity and our country's limited regulation of personal care products, baby skincare can be a headache parents don’t need. Throw in issues like deforestation, animal cruelty, and unsustainable sourcing, and it becomes difficult to protect the earth while protecting your newborn. Pipette is out to change that, blacklisting over 2,000 items suspected to cause personal or environmental harm. Their own hypoallergenic ingredients lists are tested by dermatologists, pediatricians, and biologists (not animals), and fronted by squalane, a sugarcane-based moisturizer inspired by what babies already produce. Pipette has committed to sourcing clean, holistic ingredients, and all their products are EWG Verified™ and certified vegan and cruelty-free.

  • responsible sourcing

Pipette’s squalane is traceable to sustainable sugarcane producers in Brazil. None of their ingredients are farmed near rainforests, and they’re dedicated to preventing both animal testing and harm to forests. They ban any ingredients thought to cause environmental harm, blacklisting more than the US and EU combined.
  • supporting key causes

Pipette partners with Every Mother Counts, a nonprofit that improves equity, education, and care for pregnant mothers. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, they donated much-needed hand sanitizer to health-care facilities in California and New York.
  • low carbon footprint

They provide financial support to reforestation and tree-planting efforts to offset their shipping, making these processes carbon neutral. Their offices are LEED Silver Certified, which means they're mindful of sustainability in building design and energy use, and their labs are My Green Lab Platinum Certified.

How to use it

Apply this talc-free cream anywhere baby gets sticky, chafed, or sweaty, especially those cute little baby rolls. Gently massage in until cream changes to a soft powder.

When you're done...

The cap is recyclable through TerraCycle, and the tube goes into the trash.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

Horrible product it does not make sense for this to be made for babies. Smells super bad. Takes impossibly long to rub into a "powder" I regret buying 2 at once. I thought it would be a good product from the description. I used a pea sized amount and my hand is a little sore from rubbing for so long. What baby is going to sit through this comfortably?

Good product

I like using this product on the creases of baby's legs to reduce rub. It did seem to reduce redness, though the cream to powder promise wasn't exactly what I expected.

Works like a charm

I have no idea why i originally bought this but two nights ago my baby started developing diaper rash, was getting really fussy, and i was in dark and this is the only thing i could find easily, applied it and she suddenly went calm and then fell asleep a bit later. It doesn't turn to powder (i expected it to :-) - was waiting for magic to happen :-)) but it keeps her bumsy dry and happy. And that keeps me happy. So i now intentionally ordered more of this

It wasn't what I expected, instead of turning to a powdery feel it just felt heavy and greasy. Very disappointed-especially since I bought three tubes. Also, a soft fragrance option would have been nice too. Sorry. The order/delivery was on point though.
