Why we love it

We think that a cracker should pack some crunch. These definitely do. We also think they should be made with the best possible ingredients, which these also are. We're big fans of pretty much everything that's crispy and cheddar-cheesy. And did we mention Pipsnacks developed this cracker recipe as a way to use the extra finely ground corn flour that comes out of their cheese ball production? These upcycled crackers are exactly what the Pipsnacks Pipcorn family needed (and you too, of course).

Counting on local corn farmers for success

The supply chain for corn farmers can be tricky to navigate. Often, they're competing with big, commercial farms. The Pipsnacks founders fell in love with unique qualities of heirloom corn and decided to work directly with small family farmers in the U.S. to source their special kernels. By relying on these farmers, their products have more nutritional value than commercially grown popcorn—and a better taste. Pipsnacks honors the history of heirloom corn farming by saving seeds from their harvests to replant later. They work with like-minded suppliers and prioritize treating people with respect. Plus, they make their packaging fully recyclable whenever they're able to.

    Pipsnacks sources their heirloom corn from a small network of family farmers, and they use organic whey sourced from Wisconsin dairy farms as a byproduct of their milk production. They also upcycle corn byproducts from the cheese balls into crackers, which means they're able to use 99.9% of all the heirloom corn they purchase for a virtually no-waste process.

About the Brand



Once upon a time, Jen and her brother Jeff were packing up her Chicago apartment when they found a bag of teeny, tiny heirloom corn kernels. After popping this special little bag of corn, they loved it so much that they found the family farmer who grew it (he was in Indiana). A little while later, Jen, Jeff, and Jeff’s wife Teresa launched their company: the women-owned, minority-owned, family-owned, really great little thing called Pipsnacks.

Great Product!

These are great little crackers. They have a huge cheddar flavor and are extra crispy, which I love. I was looking for something to replace the Goldfish crackers my son eats daily, and I’m happy to say that even for a picky eater, he approved!
