How it does good
Meat has met its match
Many plant-based meat substitutes often come with a bunch of fillers, soy, or artificial flavors. But Plant Boss's meatless crumbles have a not-so-secret ingredient: organic yellow peas, grown in North America and rich with protein. With a satisfying texture and endless versatility, they're blended with organic seasonings to make a unique, plant-based meal starter that's free of soy or gluten. Your mighty meatless meal starts here.
-
responsible sourcing
Plant Boss uses organic yellow peas in their recipes, which are soy-free, non-GMO, and gluten-free. Plant Boss is under Frontier Co-Op, which runs the Well Earth program, where the team works closely with their growers around the world to help improve their livelihoods. -
low carbon footprint
At each of Plant Boss's facilities, they are moving towards zero waste, meaning 90% of their waste is diverted from landfills. They also offset their emissions through RECs (Renewable Energy Certificates). -
supporting key causes
Frontier Co-Op runs an initiative called Breaking Down Barriers to employment. This includes second chance hiring practices for returning citizens, and people facing homelessness. This program also has onsite counseling and support services, like daycare and transportation.
