How it does good

Fighting climate change from the kitchen

When food is wasted, that means all the resources that went into growing it are also wasted. Renewal Mill creates upcycled ingredients from places in the food system where nutrition is lost, starting with the byproducts of plant-based milk production, which include soybean, almond, and oat pulp. They dry and mill these pulps to make ingredients that are rich in fiber and protein, and have a smaller impact on the environment. (Yep, from pulp. Who knew?)

  • responsible sourcing

Renewal Mill makes their upcycled products from ingredients that would have otherwise been wasted. And pulp is dried and milled without using synthetic processing techniques or unnatural fortification.
  • low carbon footprint

Their upcycled okara flour has a carbon footprint that is 60% less than traditional wheat flour. They're also certified plastic negative, which means they remove twice as much plastic from the environment as they use for their packaging.
  • supporting key causes

Renewal Mill is as a founding member of the Upcycled Food Association, where they work with other brands to build the upcycled food economy and eliminate global food waste.

How to use it

Just add oil and water. Bake. Breathe in that fresh cookie smell and try not to open the oven early.

When you're done...

This packaging is recyclable through TerraCycle by following our special instructions.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.
