Lightly Sweetened Hibiscus Water

Sustainable goodness
Ruby ethically sources their variety of hibiscus from its home of West Africa.
Why we love it
Trying to kick sugar to the curb or lower your intake? Grab a bottle of this lightly sweetened Ruby water. Organic, gluten-free, and kosher—it's an all-rounder that doesn’t skimp on taste either. With benefits like antioxidants, vitamins, and electrolytes, this ruby red potion quenches thirst while doing your body good. It's very similar to hibiscus tea but Ruby's process of ambient brewing the leaves makes it less astringent than your everyday tea. What does it taste like? Somewhere between sweet cherry, light pomegranate, and fuji apple.

How it does good
Less is more
The Rubyverse was created in response to the global obesity epidemic, which is in no small part due to the extreme quantities of added sugar in daily diets. And the key driver of over consumption of added sugar? Sugary beverages. Ruby hopes to counterbalance the growing issue with their low to no sugar hibiscus waters to help people who are actively decreasing their sugar intake.
-
responsible sourcing
Ruby sources hibiscus sabdariffa, a variety indigenous to West Africa and Southeast Asia, from their ethical farm partner in Burkina Faso. -
supporting key causes
Ruby partners with Sure We Can, a recycling center in Brooklyn. -
recyclable packaging
Ruby waters come in recyclable glass jars with metal lids.
How to use it

Ruby recommends mixing their water with a morning coffee—the bitterness of the coffee brings out the brightness of hibiscus. Also great as a post-workout bev or mixer with tequila, mezcal or vodka.
When you're done...
Good news! Separate the glass jar and metal lid and recycle both in a curbside bin.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.
