How it does good
Caring for the planet—and people who live there
Not all farms are created equal. Some industrial farming practices contaminate water and soil and even endanger wildlife. Chickapea makes the conscious choice to avoid this type of farming by supporting organic farms that help protect biodiversity. They also work hard to help those in need. Since this woman-owned brand was founded, they've been funding meals, providing nutrition education, and more. Most recently they partnered with WE Charity to help fund school gardens.
-
supporting key causes
Chickapea has partnered with various charities—including the Upside Foundation and WE Charity, to help fund nutritious meals, food education, and agricultural initiatives (like school gardens and family farms) for communities in need. To top it all off, they donate several hundred pounds of pasta annually to food banks across North America. -
responsible sourcing
This pasta is made using only organic ingredients—it's free of additives, synthetic pesticides, and fertilizers.
How to use it

Bring 4 quarts (16 cups) of salted water to a boil. Add pasta to boiling water, then cook at a steady boil. Stir frequently for 7 to 8 minutes. Drain, rinse, and use in your favorite recipe.
When you're done...
Remove the plastic window and recycle it through TerraCycle by following our special instructions. Recycle the rest of the box in your curbside bin.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.
