Rethinking how we make chocolate

TCHO was born over 15 years ago out of a shared vision to reimagine the world of chocolate, from the ground up. They go beyond just purchasing cacao from origins; they also partner with farmers and invest in their resources, so they can co-create better cacao, together. TCHO makes all their chocolate at their state-of-the-art factory (like Willy Wonka, but better) in Berkeley, California, and is always looking for new ways to use their business to better the world through chocolate.

A highlight of the TCHO Source program is the TCHO Flavor Lab, a mini bean-to-bar chocolate-making lab where farmers can take cacao beans they grow and make chocolate from them on the spot. When a partner farmer hits TCHO's high standards on quality, they pay the farmer a TCHO Quality Premium on top of the fair trade and organic premiums they already pay.
