Knowing you're helping animals and insects by composting food and plant scraps? Feels great. Attracting critters to the compost on your counter? Not so great. This flexible silicone bin has a recycled stainless steel rim to hang off counters while in use, then goes right in the freezer to prevent odors and pests. Plus, its flippable design makes it easy to empty and a cinch to clean. Once it's full, drop it off at a local community garden or composting site (then it's ready for refill).
The laminated outer packaging should be thrown away for now, but Full Circle is working on recyclable options.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

How it does good
Long-lasting products for a long-lasting earth
From single-use bags to scrubbers that are sold as reusable but can’t stand up to dirt, non-recyclable products with short lifespans are made to end up in landfills. Meanwhile, ingredients like triclosan, common in soaps and sponges, are registered with the EPA as literal pesticides. Clearly, cleaning products aren’t all that clean. That’s where Full Circle comes in. Their products say goodbye to coatings, dyes, plastics, and chemicals, and hello to durable designs that actually last. By choosing plant-based and alternative materials, they keep chemicals out and limit their carbon footprint. And as an official partner of Plastic Bank, Full Circle is working to become plastic neutral, which means for every amount of plastic created, its equivalent of plastic waste is recovered and removed from the environment.

What People Are Saying
- compost pile
If this had a lid...
I would have purchased two. We're looking for something for use on our boat, and it's perfect in every way except the lack of a lid to put over it in case we can't dump our food scraps because we're too close to land.
Wish it were a little bigger!
I love this container for keeping my compost. I live in a big city so freezer is the only way for me to compost. I put a compostable bag in it and hang it on the sides of my drawers all the time. My only wish is that it were a little bigger so it would fit all of my compost for the week. I normally fill it up twice per week.
Perfect for Stink-less Compost
I really love these things. We got one at my parent's house after a long struggle with fruit flies in a countertop bin, and then I bought two of them for my office. I just bought a new house and was ready to start my compost pile, so I knew I needed one of these. Keeping compost scraps in the freezer is the best for making sure it doesn't get smelly or attract insects, and the soft silicone makes it possible to get all the frozen scraps out, even when they freeze into one big hunk. I dumped some excess sourdough starter into the bottom of this last week, which froze into a solid layer on the bottom, but the flexibility allowed me to turn it completely inside out to empty it.
