Chemex® 6-10 Cup Organic Cotton Coffee Filter

Sustainable goodness
Created by GDS Cloth Goods, Ebb filters are made with the same quality and care that you'd put into brewing. They're reusable, biodegradable, and made with organic cotton that's sourced and sewn in the U.S.
Why we love it
Nothing wakes us up more than a sustainably brewed cup of coffee, and this reusable filter gets the brew just right. It's good for at least 100 uses and is super easy to clean, meaning it helps prevent the use of paper filters. Uniquely designed to fit the 6-10 cup brewers, it has a flap that keeps the filter from drooping down and blocking your flow. So go on and get brewing.

How it does good
For the people and the planet
Labor exploitation is still a huge part of the textile and fashion industry. GDS Cloth Goods believes that knowing the people whose hands make their products are as important as the people who end up using them. That's why GDS is totally transparent about their sourcing, and ethical in their manufacturing. Because there is no sustainability without fair labor.
-
responsible sourcing
Every Ebb filter is grown, woven, and sewn in the U.S. The cotton is grown on organic cotton farms in Texas, woven in South Carolina, and sewn in California. Workers at these facilities are paid a living wage and work in safe conditions. -
recyclable packaging
GDS Cloth Goods uses biodegradable filters, and their paper packaging is recycled and recyclable. -
low carbon footprint
Ebb sources domestically-grown cotton, meaning the fabric travels shorter distances to the weaving and sewing facilities than if it came from India or China, where most of the world's cotton is produced. This domestic supply chain minimizes greenhouse gas emissions. -
supporting key causes
GDS donates 3% of every purchase to an organization invested in changing the world for the better. Past organizations have included the National Black Farmers Association, and the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services.
How to use it

Ebb brews just like a paper filter. After using, shake the grounds out in the compost, rinse the filter in warm water, and air dry.
When you're done...
Good news! The packaging is 100% curbside recyclable and home compostable. The filter is also home compostable at the end of its lifespan.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.
