Mavuno Harvest

Mavuno Harvest looks out for the small family farms in sub-Saharan Africa while bringing organic dried fruits to you. While serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in a tiny village in Kenya called Miti Mingi, founder Phil Hughes wanted to find a way that provided jobs and economic opportunity for rural farmers and solved the issue of harvests that they don't sell. By drying fruits that would have otherwise gone to waste, Mavuno Harvest opens new markets, creates jobs for the local community, and extends the prosperity of the food supply.

OMG… This is Heaven

So this is what the FRESHEST organic dried mango tastes like… heaven. Seriously tastes fresh off the tree and sooo chewy and juicy!!! I am so picky about dried mango because I can’t stand when it’s degraded or when it’s stale, bland, tastes off, has a weird taste, etc. This stuff is PERFECT. I didn’t know such perfect dried mango existed but it makes sense it would come from a farm-to-table company!! I will be getting my mango here from now on! I wish I didn’t already buy it elsewhere so my mango budget is run through, tried a small bag from the store though and… heaven… so NEXT TIME, this is where I come. Plus I LOVE farm-to-table, that is what we need, truly—it’s better for everyone and produces a vastly superior product which much better nourishes ourselves. In a world of faceless organizations and technology replacing human interaction, I think companies like this are a strong and much needed rebuttal and I think we as customers need to peacefully demand this through our choices to the best of our ability. And you can start with this manna! Soooo mango-y!!!!!!!!!! And an AMAZING “mouth-feel” because it’s so fresh! I wish I could afford to just like chew this all day long lol. I want to eat it always.

My favorite dried fruit

These are absolutely my favorite dried fruit that I have tried. I love the fact that there is no added sugar. My favorite two are the dried mango and the dried coconut. I can't even go back to other brands now that I have tried this. So glad that I'm finding this on Amazon also because my store is frequently out.
