Mavuno Harvest
Mavuno Harvest looks out for the small family farms in sub-Saharan Africa while bringing organic dried fruits to you. While serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in a tiny village in Kenya called Miti Mingi, founder Phil Hughes wanted to find a way that provided jobs and economic opportunity for rural farmers and solved the issue of harvests that they don't sell. By drying fruits that would have otherwise gone to waste, Mavuno Harvest opens new markets, creates jobs for the local community, and extends the prosperity of the food supply.
Shop BrandDear Hive, They taste great but you also need other tropical fruits to go with. Thanks for asking Paula Barone
These are hard as shoe leather. I can't tell if they are expired. After 10 minutes of looking at the package with a flashlight and magnifying glass, I can see no expiration date. I put some in a jar with some water and let them soak overnight in the fridge. They're a little easier to chew, but the taste is horrendous.
Last month, a friend of mine gave me a pack of these delicious treats. I loved the tropical mix and the mission of the company so much that I bought more packages to enjoy and to share with others. The tropical mix is delicious and flavorful. It is the best dried fruit without any added sugar that I have ever purchased. You won't be disappointed.
I was glad to buy these knowing they were part of a fair trade group. With the exception of the bananas being cut length wise, the flavors were there and they were dried beautifully
Really good. I think the bannanas are the best but all the fruit is so good. Also a great cause to support.
