We’ve vetted so many coffee brands over the last five years of building Hive.
So why are we creating our own?
Over the years we’ve tasted some incredible coffees—and rejected even more that didn’t meet our standards. We found clean coffee brands, compostable coffee brands, and ethical coffee brands. But no one met all of our standards for purity, taste, and sustainability.
When we started investigating potential contaminants in coffee, we were stunned. Even premium brands can contain mold toxins and heavy metals—and when we asked for test results, it became clear that many weren’t testing at all or weren’t willing to share what they found.
We knew coffee could—and should—be better.
That’s when we saw the opportunity to rethink coffee from bean to brew, crafting it with the Hive Five as our foundation.
So, we created Love Grown Coffee.
We work directly with a family farm in Honduras to source single-origin beans, grown with love and without pesticides. Our clean roasting process maximizes rich, smooth flavor while preserving the integrity of every bean. We test rigorously—our latest results showed zero mycotoxins (mold toxins that can be found in many coffees), and we go beyond Prop 65 requirements for heavy metals, ensuring superior purity in every cup.
And for those who love the bold, aromatic convenience of coffee pods, ours are certified 100% compostable and plastic-free—so you get a richer, better-tasting brew without the waste.
At the end of the day, coffee should be something you can savor, not question. It should be delicious, clean, and made with care from start to finish.
