Traditional candy is made of added sugars, fake flavors, and color dyes. Peaceful Fruits' candy is made of fruit and nothing else. Their fruit is ethically-sourced from the Amazon, enabling indigenous communities to harvest profitably and sustainably. Peaceful Fruits' products do not contain ingredients on Hive's No Good, Dirty Rotten list of banned and watch list ingredients.
By incentivizing indigenous communities to source wild fruit, Peaceful Snacks helps protect the rainforest from alternative economies (like clearcutting trees). This helps build a sustainable local economy, while preserving the Amazon and its ability to sequester carbon. Peaceful Fruits' suppliers test their products for heavy metals, pesticide residues, allergens, and mycotoxins.

How it does good
Rainforest clearcutting (aka chopping down trees to grow non-local crops like palm and soy) has done damage in the Amazon. But Peaceful Snacks wants to offer another option. They purchase fruit that grows naturally in the wild of the Amazon so that local farmers profit by keeping the forests intact. Back at home in the U.S., they've partnered with the Blick Center to employ adults with disabilities in full wage jobs.

This company started when founder Evan Delahanty worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Amazon Rainforest. The ethically sourced fruit helps sustain the Amazon rainforest and its people.
