The story behind Nordic Naturals begins in Artic Norway, where founder and CEO Joar Orphein grew up. When Joar came to California, he noticed that the pure omega-rich cod liver oil that Norwegians use to stay healthy was nowhere to be found. All he could find was low-concentration fish oil with a terrible aftertaste. Driven by the desire to share the power of pure, fresh omega-3 nutrients, Joar founded Nordic Naturals in 1995. Today, Nordic Naturals continues to deliver quality, sustainably made fish oil products that are rigorously tested for purity and freshness.
