Let's get one thing straight before we dive into Chagrin Valley's admirable practices: their #1 goal is to offer top-quality natural skincare for you. How do they do it? By sourcing local ingredients that are minimally processed and free from any synthetics, dyes, or chemicals. They work with other Northern Ohio businesses to can reduce waste and rely on each other to create quality goods; they call this “Local Symbiosis." Chagrin uses 99% plastic-free, recyclable packaging, most of which is also made with recycled paper or steel. Because it isn't enough to just keep you clean, Chagrin Valley is dedicated to keeping our earth clean, too.

How to Use

For a traditional shave: Shave during or after a hot shower. Give your shaving brush a good soaking with hot water. Shake the brush a bit—you want it wet, not waterlogged. Take the brush and swirl it over the surface of the soap to generate a rich lather (the more you swirl, the thicker the lather). Apply the rich lather with the brush until it covers all the areas you want to shave. Shave with the grain of your beard. For a very close shave, you can re-lather and shave very gently across the grain. Rinse with cold water. Apply with Chagrin's shaving balm or aftercare of choice.

Good news! The paper packaging is 100% curbside recyclable and home compostable.
