Sunburns are never “in." And neither are sunscreens that damage our reefs. Completely safe for our precious ocean habitat and for even the most sensitive skin, this SPF 35 sunscreen comes in clutch for summer days (and for the rest of the year). Made with natural ingredients like organic coconut oil and frankincense essential oil, and reef-safe active ingredient non-nano zinc oxide, you'll have peace of mind while out having fun in the sun. Plus, the formula doesn't sting your eyes. We're not going anywhere without this tin.

Ingredients

Zinc Oxide Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Local Beeswax, Vitamin E Oil, Elderberry, and Frankincense Essential Oil.

Allergens: Nut butters

How to Use

Apply liberally to all exposed skin before sun exposure. Rub in well to reduce whitening. Re-apply after 80 min, or after toweling off or sweating. Note: A little goes a long way!

Recycling

Good news! The aluminum tin is curbside recyclable.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

How it does good

6,000 tons of sunscreen enter Hawaii waters annually—a number equivalent to the weight of 93 humpback whales. And the term "reef safe" has not been adopted by the FDA and is still not a regulated term, so generally, companies use the term to mean any product that does not contain oxybenzone and octinoxate. However, the only proven safe ingredients for coral reefs are non-nano zinc oxide and non-nano titanium dioxide. That's why the only active ingredient in Little Hands Hawaii products is non-nano zinc oxide. By paying strict attention to the purity and quality of every ingredient in their formula, they're proof that protecting yourself from the sun and preserving the environment go hand in hand.

Little Hands Hawaii

The story of Little Hands Hawaii starts with a mother searching for sunscreens that would be safe for her daughter and for the earth.

As a mother and registered nurse, founder Rosalyn Ardoin knew there had to be a better way to protect our skin. So, she came up with a sunscreen recipe in her own kitchen that would later turn into Little Hands Hawaii. After more research surfaced about the effects of chemical sunscreens on coral reefs, her husband, Mike joined the company to be a part of the movement for safe sunscreen.

Grounded in the spirit of ohana, Little Hands Hawaii is on a mission to protect our health while preserving precious marine life.
