In 1997, Stella & Chewy's founder Marie adopted pups Stella and Chewy from a local shelter. They both had health issues, and Marie's vet suggested raw food could help. It did! Chewy quickly recovered, and both he and Stella thrived on their new food. This gave Marie a passion for pet nutrition and led to her start Stella & Chewy's in 2003. Stella & Chewy's is committed to providing complete and balanced meals for pets using the finest, all natural ingredients from suppliers it knows and trusts, 100% organic fruits and vegetables, and grass-fed, cage-free, wild-caught, and farm-raised ingredients. Stella & Chewy's never uses any artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors in their recipes, and their ingredients never contain added hormones or antibiotics.

Stella & Chewy's wants to make sure every pet has food in their bowl and that every pet has a forever home, too. Through the Journey Home Fund, Stella & Chewy's raises awareness about dog adoption, including paying adoption fees, and works with like-minded organizations to food donations, social media support, adoptable senior pet features, and partnership signage.
