Why we love it

With an uplifting base scent of bergamot and crisp basil, paired with eucalyptus, orange, and fennel oil, this bar soap smells both intriguing and invigorating. It builds up a nice, silky lather that won't dry out your skin. Plus, it's made without palm oil, which is a big win in our book.

How it does good

Clean palms without palm oil

Many personal care brands use palm oil in their products, but the palm oil industry is destructive to rainforests, and it's also rampant with human rights abuses. That's why Hand in Hand chooses to never use palm oil in their formulations. Their cruelty-free soaps never cut corners, using simple ingredients and infinitely recyclable containers, so Hand in Hand can strive to be a force of good in everything they do.

  • responsible sourcing

Hand in Hand uses simple formulations with ingredients that are responsibly sourced. They're Leaping Bunny certified, meaning they don't test on animals, and all of their ingredients are 100% vegan. They don't use palm oil, which reflects their commitment to protect rainforest ecosystems and endangered species from deforestation.
  • recyclable packaging

Hand in Hand was one of the first brands to use aluminum, which is infinitely recyclable, in their packaging. They're also developing a recyclable bottle pump.
  • supporting key causes

Hand in Hand operates a Buy One, Give Back program, where for every product they sell, they donate a bar of soap and a month of clean water to a child in need.

  • Leaping Bunny Certification

How to use it

Work the soap into a lather, and apply the lather to your skin. Rinse with water.

When you're done...

Good news! Recycle the cardboard box in a curbside bin.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

About the Brand

Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand started with one bar of soap and a simple mission: Buy a bar. Give a bar. In 2011, founders Bill Glaab and Courtney Apple read an article that said 5 million children die each year from water-related illnesses, but 45% of these deaths could be prevented with hand washing. Determined to create a business that focused on a soap that saved lives, they founded Hand in Hand. They've donated over 13 million bars of soap to date, lending a hand to help children around the world.
