How it does good

Many personal care brands use palm oil in their products, but the palm oil industry is destructive to rainforests, and it's also rampant with human rights abuses. That's why Hand in Hand chooses to never use palm oil in their formulations. Their cruelty-free soaps never cut corners, using simple ingredients and infinitely recyclable containers, so Hand in Hand can strive to be a force of good in everything they do.

Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand started with one bar of soap and a simple mission: Buy a bar. Give a bar. In 2011, founders Bill Glaab and Courtney Apple read an article that said 5 million children die each year from water-related illnesses, but 45% of these deaths could be prevented with hand washing. Determined to create a business that focused on a soap that saved lives, they founded Hand in Hand. They've donated over 13 million bars of soap to date, lending a hand to help children around the world.
