They take great care to avoid synthetic chemicals commonly used in personal care products, and only use natural ingredients. Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve's products do not contain ingredients on Hive's No Good, Dirty Rotten list of banned and watch list ingredients.
Chagrin uses minimal processing on their natural ingredients to preserve nutrients. Their raw ingredients and finished products are handled, packaged, and distributed according to the rules of USDA Organic Certification without risk of contamination. And they keep their carbon footprint low by prioritizing local ingredients - including locally-grown grains, beer, coffee, and goats milk. Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve does not test their products for contaminants.
Chagrin Valley opts for cardboard, glass, and tin packaging, and is over 99% plastic free across all packaging - that means safer for you and recyclable, too.
