Why we love it

An ancient adaptogen icon, ashwagandha is in a league of its own. Known to help the body adapt to stress—physical, emotional, and psychological—it’s no wonder it’s still a hot topic. This powder makes it easy to add this herb into your daily routine. And it’s nice to know that your body is channeling some serious plant powers to rejuvenate itself.

How it does good

Ancient traditions that help heal the earth

The stress and strain of modern life can do a number on the body. Kalya Veda is helping people reach for balance in their life through their Ayurvedic herbs. Founded on transparency and giving back to the environment, they only use ingredients of the utmost quality, are honest about their sourcing practices, and are planting trees with One Tree Planted. As a proponent for social good, Kalya Veda continues to support charities that help the underprivileged.

  • responsible sourcing

All of Kalya Veda’s herbs come from local farms in India. They ensure that everyone involved is fairly compensated, and they test their herbs for purity, potency, pesticides, and more.
  • low carbon footprint

They store products in a facility where the roof is covered with solar panels. Surplus energy is sent back to the grid. And their factory in India uses its geography to its advantage to dry herbs in the sun to conserve electricity.
  • supporting key causes

Kalya Veda is a One Tree Planted partner, meaning for every sale a tree is planted. In light of drought, large-scale bark beetle infestation, and wildfires that have seriously damaged California’s forests, their focus is currently on planting more trees in the state. In addition to looking out for the environment, Kalya Veda supports charities that empower women and kids like Sakhi for South Asian Women and NYRR Team for Kids.
  • recyclable packaging

Kalya Veda uses 100% biodegradable packaging.
  • Certified Non-GMO

How to use it

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

About the Brand

Kalya Veda

Kalya Veda

Inspired by the holistic practices of self-care in India, Kirti Tewani founded Kalya Veda with a mission to bring Ayurvedic balance to everyone.

What is Ayurveda? It’s the sister science of yoga that helps a person realize their aptitude for wellness. Instead of addressing symptoms, Ayurveda emphasizes prevention of illness through daily self-care practices, a holistic lifestyle, and an appropriate diet.

After watching her mother heal her bodily ailments with yoga and Ayurveda, Kirti implemented the same teachings, and those simple practices completely changed her life and that of her friends. And with their Ayurvedic herbs, Kalya Veda seeks to help you to create a lifestyle routine that unlocks lasting balance, happiness, and good health.
