KOOSHOO's hair ties and scrunchies are made with Fair Trade materials and organic cotton that is certified by the GOTS and OEKO-TEX at a social good factory in Southern India. This means the cotton is grown without chemicals that can be harmful to the soil, production workers and customers. KOOSHOO's products do not contain ingredients on Hive's No Good, Dirty Rotten list of banned and watch list ingredients.
KOOSHOO purchases their rubber from a Fair Trade rubber plantation at the far southern tip of India, which is certified by the Fair Rubber Association and the FSC. KOOSHOO does not test their products for contaminants.
KOOSHOO's packaging is made from FSC-certified recycled paper.
KOOSHOO partners with companies like their Fair Trade garment manufacturer, a facility that is owned and operated by nuns.

Around 15 million disposable plastic hair ties are lost or tossed every day in the United States alone. KOOSHOO's hair ties and scrunchies are made with organic cotton and natural tree rubber. Both materials are plastic-free, making them a better choice for the environment.
