BioBased Cold Cups

Sustainable goodness
Repurpose makes their tableware out of plant-based and compostable materials.
Why we love it
Red solo cups may be iconic, but these cups are made from plants. And they require less energy to produce than single-use plastics. They’re a clear choice (pun intended) for backyard BBQs, picnics, and any other kind of function. Make sure to avoid sticking them in the microwave or place near any kind of high heat, sweating it out is not in their job description.

How it does good
Plants over plastic
Humanity produces nearly the weight of the entire population in plastic annually. Since their launch in 2010, Repurpose has kept 3,531,805 lbs (and counting) of waste out of landfills. Made with plant-based materials that fully break down, their reusable tableware is showing everyday items their greenest potential. Practicing a closed-loop sustainability, their products can be composted to help grow the plant-based materials later used to make future products.
-
responsible sourcing
Repurpose makes their compostable, BPA-free, and PFAS-free products from renewable, plant-based materials. They make their plates, bowls, and cutlery from upcycled plant fiber, a combination of sugarcane, eucalyptus, and wood scrap left after the manufacture of other products. They make PLA resin from corn grow in the U.S., and other plants like sugarcane, beets, and cassava. -
low carbon footprint
Repurpose's plant-based products emit 80% less CO2 into the atmosphere and use 52% less energy to produce than plastics. Their compostable plates and bowls use 66% less energy than paper plates and bowls. -
supporting key causes
Repurpose supports the Surfrider Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting the world's oceans. -
recyclable packaging
Repurpose products are 100% compostable in commercial composting facilities. No matter where they end up, they eventually break down into natural elements without leaving behind microplastics and toxic residue.
