Why We Love It

Made with lightly toasted English walnuts, heirloom Mission almonds, and a delicious blend of spices, this Carrot Cake Almond & Walnut Butter transports you to tasty memories of the spiced-cake-meets-spring-vegetable creation, the classic carrot cake. (And don't forget the rich cream cheese frosting.) But this spreadable version is even better because it's vegan, has no refined sugar, and contains only heart-healthy fats.

  • Ingredient Integrity

Big Spoon Roasters doesn't add artificial flavors, preservatives or stabilizers like Palm Oil to their nut butters, so you know each jar is full of only the ingredients you expect.
They know every ingredient producer personally and seek partners who are sourcing and growing responsibly, like low-water, Bee-Friendly Almonds and Fair Labor certified cashews.
They're so proud of these partners they put them right on their website and boast about their individual standards.
Plus, everything is Non-GMO Project Verified and most ingredients are also organic.
Big Spoon Roasters' products do not contain ingredients on Hive's No Good, Dirty Rotten list of banned and watch list ingredients.
  • Responsible Production

Big Spoon Roasters produce all of their nut butters in their own North Carolina production facility, which is a cruelty-free workplace and a certified Living Wage workplace.
They've calculated their environmental footprint and are working toward zero-waste operations.
  • Clean Packaging

Big Spoon Roasters' nut butter packaging is zero waste: every jar is fully recyclable, and so are the bar boxes.
Plus, the labels are printed with non-toxic ink.
  • Leading Change

Big Spoon Roasters 'upcycles' any leftover nut butters into their Community Blend, which is jarred, labeled and donated to local 501 C-3 charities and hunger relief organizations like PORCH Durham, Carrboro and Hillsborough, OCIM Food Pantry, Marcus Harris Foundation, FEED Durham, and TABLE NC.

DELICIOUSSSS

What a yummy treat! I ate this on top of a piece of bread with extra cinnamon and honey drizzled on top. My new go-to breakfast. Could also be great on top of a banana or apple slices! Want to try it on a bagel with cream cheese next for maximum carrot cake flavor. Highly recommend!

Not bad.

Has the spices of a carrot cake. It would probably taste pretty good with some carrots. I ate it with celery and liked it.
