  • Certified USDA Organic

Suitable for all hair types, this organic virgin coconut oil hair balm is the newest step in your hair care routine. Coconut is good for everything, especially moisturizing your hair and promoting a healthy scalp. Its partner in crime, evening primrose oil promotes blood flow, hydrates, and can even help reduce hair loss.

Personal care products are often laden with synthetic ingredients and dyes that our body can’t distinguish. Chagrin Valley is changing all of that with their 100% organic, non-GMO products made with locally-sourced, minimally-processed ingredients.

Good news! The glass jar and steel lid, once separated, are curbside recyclable.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

How to use

For dry scalp: Use your fingertips gently massage a small amount of hair balm into your scalp. Leave on for at least 15 minutes and then wash and style as usual. For dry hair: Place a small amount of balm in the palm of your hand, rub palms together and apply to hair starting at the roots and working to the ends. For an intensive hair treatment: Wrap oiled hair in a warm towel for 30 minutes or longer. Wash and style as usual. For leave in conditioner: Place a small amount of balm in the palm of your hand, rub palms together and scrunch into hair ends only or smooth over the length of your hair and comb thoroughly to evenly distribute the balm.

Hair Balm Love

This product saved my hair. Long story... I had cancer and radiation. I dyed my hair on a whim to help me feel alive again, but my hair suffered. Nothing was working to bring back the softness. Soap and Salve saved my hair. It smells great. It works great. I love it.

Not a fan of using as a leave-in

This product is waxy and thick, and leaves a unpleasant residue on your hair if you use it as a leave in. I think it might be better suited as a treatment used prior to shampooing, as mentioned on the label but I have yet to try that. If you're looking for a zero-waste leave in product, I do not suggest this.
