Coming in hot from the Big Island of Hawaii: this organic specialty honey, crafted in small batches to preserve all its golden goodness.

Talk about an epic origin story. This honey comes from one of the most isolated islands in the world, where a family of beekeepers operate an organic apiary nestled on the slopes of Mauna Kea, Hawaii's tallest volcano. It's made in small batches without the use of heat, straining, or filtration, locking in nourishing enzymes and small grains of pollen. Use it in drinks, soups, glazes, and more.

Hummingbird works closely with farmers to provide ingredients that are single-sourced from one family farm. They contract with the farmers before the growing season and support their businesses by helping with seed costs, transitioning to organic farming practices and new crop experimentation. Hummingbird's products do not contain ingredients on Hive's No Good, Dirty Rotten list of banned and watch list ingredients.

Responsible Production

Hummingbird delivers locally to stores by bike, and practices a zero waste policy in their building. How it does good

Many food manufacturers don't work directly with farmers, which can make it hard to know where your food comes from and how it's grown. Hummingbird is a family-owned organic food company that brings humanity into their business relationships. They take great care in building long-term relationships with farmers, suppliers, and other partners, and specialize in sourcing farm-direct, quality ingredients grown in the Pacific Northwest. So you can always know how your food got to your table.

How to Use

Drizzle a spoonful into some earl grey tea and add a slice of fresh lemon.

Recycling

Good news! Separate the glass jar and metal lid and recycle both in a curbside bin. The plastic freshness seal is recyclable through TerraCycle by following our special instructions.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.
