Plucked from the Tashill Estate, a family-owned farm in the Indian state of Kerala, these black peppercorns are grown and harvested with history and mastery of craft. Thanks to the region’s rich biodiversity and plentiful rainfall, these babies are packed with more zest than your regular peppercorns.

Ishka Farms is the first commercial farm in India to grow certified organic capers and they're working to restore the land they produce on.

Good news! Recycle the glass jar and metal lid in a curbside bin.

How it does good

A better mantra for farming

Most of the crops that the world relies on are water-intensive; rice, soybeans, and wheat included. With a mantra of conserving groundwater, Ishka Farms chose to work with crops that require less water and still thrive. Capers and moringa not only are perfect for their mission but they also reduce the use of fossil fuels and conventional sources of electricity. By combining modern agricultural practices with traditional knowledge of pest control and fertigation, Ishka Farms continues to provide year-round employment and demonstrate that one can have a world-class farm without relying on traditional seasonal crops that are purely dependent on rainfall.
