Why we love it

Hot sauce without any weird ingredients? We’re sold. Made with fermented red chili peppers grown locally near Jojo’s Sriracha’s kitchen in Pueblo, Colorado, it’s a worthy contender for its sugar-filled competitors. Every taste is a full body experience provided by a vinegary punch with tingling heat from the fermented chilis. You won’t believe it only contains five ingredients. We don’t know about you but we’re carrying some in a travel-sized bottle in our bag. Spice level: Medium.

How it does good

Hot sauce is love

Hot sauce is life. But many contain way more sugar than anyone should be consuming in a single day. Thanks to years of experimentation and fine-tuning of flavors, Jojo’s Sriracha is saving the day with simple ingredient srirachas made with wild fermentated chilis. Not-so-great ingredients like potassium sorbate and sodium bisulfite are not allowed at Jojo’s. Only all natural, non-GMO, and preservative-free srirachas here. Most of all, their culture is led by a love for farmers, and the craft and science of amazing food.

    Jojo’s Sriracha supports small, local farms by sourcing many of their ingredients like chili peppers, organic garlic, and organic apple cider vinegar as locally as possible. Their chili peppers mostly come from farms in Pueblo during the harvest. Their coconut sugar is always sourced from USDA organic and fair trade-certified Big Tree Farms. And their sea salt never has any additives.

    Jojo’s Sriracha uses a process that’s 100% vegan and creates very little waste with no artificial ingredients or byproducts.

    Jojo’s Sriracha belongs to the Pueblo Food Project, a community-led coalition helping to create a more vibrant, nutritious and equitable food system for every person in Colorado’s Pueblo County. They focus on two major initiatives: connecting hunger relief organizations with local food supplies, and attracting and retaining small food manufacturers in Pueblo County that use produce from local farms and agriculture. They’ve also fundraised for the ALS Rocky Mountain Chapter Association.

    Jojo’s Sriracha jars their sauces in glass containers with aluminum lids that are easy to recycle.

How to use it

Spice up literally anything you can think of. Like scrambled eggs, avocado toast, pasta, or fried rice.
