Why We Love It

Love Grown cereals are plant-powered nutrition, made from brown rice and beans to provide 5 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber per serving. Unlike mass-market cereals, there’s nothing artificial about them: Love Grown uses just enough real sugar and color from veggies; plus they’re seed-oil free, gluten-free, vegan certified non-GMO and meet purity and safety standards that are stricter than California’s Proposition 65 requirements.

  • Responsible Production

Love Grown is the only cereal line certified for purity by the Clean Label Project, with safety standards that go far beyond Prop 65 requirements for heavy metals and pesticide residue.
Love Grown's cereals are made with high-protein beans and lentils, which have the lowest carbon footprint of any protein-rich food.
They also naturally enrich the soil by fixing nitrogen in their roots.
    .
  • Ingredient Integrity

Love Grown creates healthy food for the whole family by using vegan, Non-GMO and gluten-free ingredients.
Unlike many conventional cereals, they do not contain any artificial colors, artificial flavors, seed oils or preservatives, using vegetable juices for color instead.
Love Grown's products do not contain ingredients on Hive's No Good, Dirty Rotten list of banned and watch list ingredients.
  • Clean Packaging

Love Grown's cereal boxes are made from 30% post-consumer recycled paperboard.
  • Leading Change

For every box sold Love Grown donates a box to Feed the Children® an organization working tirelessly to get food and life essentials into the hands of the most vulnerable.

Love Grown

Love Grown was founded in 2008 by two University of Denver students who believed cereal deserved better—made with simple ingredients, more protein and fiber, and less sugar. Their mission won over cereal-loving families nationwide.

But in 2023, rising costs nearly shut Love Grown down.

We at Hive couldn’t let that happen. We stepped in to keep these beloved cereals in your pantry—and now, we’re bringing that same commitment to coffee. No nonsense, just flavorful, single-origin coffee free from harmful toxins. Because coffee deserves to be Love Grown, too.

New recipe not the same

The new recipe just doesn't taste as chocolatey.

Love this!

I picked up a box of Chocolate Power O’s randomly when they were sold in my local grocer. I love the taste and mostly knowing it is made with healthier ingredients with more protein than my normal cereals. I was so disappointed when these went out of stock but bought a case of the “expired” ones which have been perfectly fine and lasted through to them being restocked at Hive! So glad they are back on regular basis and hope they never discontinue!!

New recipe is not the same

I also echo similar comments. I really LOVED this cereal BEFORE the changes they have made this new 2025 batch/recipe. This new 2025 batch is way different than the previous version (which I have been eating for years). I wish they would go back to the old recipe :( this new version is not bad but def not as good as it was

Not the same as it used to be.

I really LOVED this cereal BEFORE the changes they have made. This new 2025 batch they have changed the recipe and the portion size it seems and not for the better.

The taste is completely different than it was before and now I'm quite disappointed even though it's still good but not close to how it used to be. It looks like the portion sizes are in smaller bags now than before. Please go back to how it was before 2025, these changes are a clear downgrade.

With this said, I don't believe I'll be purchasing anymore of this cereal as it is now a completely different cereal. Only until they revert the changes that have been made, then I'll be a returning customer again.

Love grown Power o's chocolate cereal.

Dear Hive, I do think that they do have plenty of flavor in them but I myself am not a big chocolate fan. They did improve the flavor which is good. I give them out and every person I give them to they love it. Thanks for asking Paula Barone
