We can’t pass up on water that comes in an aluminum bottle that is carbon-neutral, recyclable, and refillable. If you’re on the same boat and prefer your water still and calm like your morning meditation class, you’ve come to the right place. The best part is the bottle that keeps plastic out of our oceans.
The aluminum bottle is both refillable and 100% curbside recyclable. The cardboard case is also curbside recyclable, and the plastic wrap is recyclable through TerraCycle by following our special instructions.
These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

About the Brand
Founders Nic and Jess spent their summers playing watersports at the lake and in the ocean. As they grew up, they realized plastic bottled water is a problem, but the industry keeps growing despite the wide availability of sustainable alternatives like reusable bottles and refill stations. For them, they needed a more pragmatic solution, so they set out to start a bottled water company that was different. They launched in 2014 and have eliminated the need for over 20 million plastic bottles.Shop Brand

What People Are Saying
Hydrated and happy!
Great taste, cool package
Open Water is refreshing and clean I would recommend to anyone! My favorite of the two are it’s sparkling water.
Very happy with the taste and reusable containers!
Its just water
I understand the absurdity of paying for water that is abundantly available for free on tap, but like most I have succumbed to the convenience (laziness) of pre-packaged grab-and-go water. In trying to reduce the plastic waste that is the byproduct of my laziness, I've been trying products with different packaging. This Open Water by Hive is exactly what it says it is: water. It doesn't taste like a can because there's a thin plastic ring around the neck of the bottle. I will be able to reuse these handy containers multiple times before recycling them. My only complaints are the price ($2/can is too much), and fact that the product that is intended to reduce plastic waste arrived wrapped in plastic! Really?!?
Love plastic free water
Love plastic free water. Would like to see family size gallon containers and plastic free shipping.
